Investment across the wider Thruxton site

The investment at Thruxton is not limited to the aerodrome. There is considerable work taking place across the wider site.

New places to eat and drink
Work is progressing on new hospitality facilities, including a restaurant and a tap room. Both are intended to give visitors somewhere proper to eat and drink on site, and they will be just as useful to pilots and aerodrome residents as to anyone else coming to Thruxton.

Hangar 14
Hangar 14, one of Thruxton's surviving Second World War T2 hangars, is undergoing a major refurbishment as part of the continued investment in the estate.

It is one of the more recognisable buildings on the site and a direct link back to Thruxton's wartime history, so seeing it properly looked after is welcome.

What this means if you are on site
Visitors and residents will inevitably see construction activity associated with these and other projects over the coming months.

For aerodrome residents, where works have the potential to affect aircraft operations, access or parking, the aerodrome team will endeavour to provide advance notice.

The level of investment reflects an intention to continue developing Thruxton as both an aerodrome and a wider destination, while protecting the aviation activity that remains a fundamental part of the site's identity.
